Nowadays all companies - SMEs and large companies - develop a proactive policy in Quality, process Safety, occupational health and safety and Environment. It leads to many job offers in QSE. In this context, thorough training in these fields in partnership with professionals is essential.

Objectives

This specific training allows to provide expert knowledge in the field of risk and pollution management engendered by the industrial activities. It consists in bringing technical solutions, by designing and the operating cleaner and safer processes, and organizational solutions by the implementation of management systems: Quality / Safety / Environment / Integrated QSE. The theme concerning occupational safety to ensure Health and Safety of workers is also a key point of this training.

Skills

  • Understand the methodology and issues of quality, safety and environment management systems and use the management tools.
  • Identify the regulation and legislative contexts connected to safety and environment.
  • Analyze organizations and identify the causes of accidents.
  • Estimate the occupational risks in a company and minister the first care during an accident.
  • Implement a quality approach based on ISO 9001 standard.
  • Understand the methodology of an integrated management system.
  • Know how to lead an audit and to distinguish a good from a poor audit.
  • Be able to design/change and manage processes so they meet safety and environmental requirements.
  • Establish models on the consequences of accidents such as the dispersal of a toxic and/or inflammable gas with simple tools.
  • Know how to apply the ATEX directive on simple cases.
  • Know how to apply the directive on Prevention and Reduction of Pollution on simple cases.

Admissions

  • Students, employees or job-seekers with at least a level of: 
    • a 4th year of university,
    • a 2nd year of university and 3 years of professional experience (VAE and VAP, accreditations for work experience).
  • Prerequisites: basic knowledge in Process engineering. 
  • Admissions based on qualifications.
  • All candidates (in initial or continuing education) have to apply online on e-Candidat.

Program

The training program lasts 12 months. It starts beginning of October.

The year is divided into two semesters:

  • the first semester consists of lectures, operational tutorials, seminars and specific personal work. Courses of English, personal development and corporate knowledge are also part of the curriculum;
  • the second semester consists of a study project followed by a work placement in a company for 5 to 6 months.
