PhD degree
Doctoral studies are a research-based training program leading to the award of the Doctorate (PhD) degree, granted by the University of Toulouse. This degree is prepared at Toulouse INP within one of the 5 doctoral schools.
PhD candidates must hold a Master’s degree (Bac +5) with research experience or an engineering degree. Over three years, doctoral students are supervised by a thesis director and work on an original research topic within one of the school’s research laboratories. At the end of this period, the doctoral student defends their thesis before a jury, which deliberates to award the Doctorate degree.
The doctoral schools affiliated with ENSIACET are:
- The MEGEP Doctoral School: Mechanics, Energy, Civil Engineering, and Processes
- The Doctoral School of Material Sciences
- The Doctoral School of Systems
- The SEVAB Doctoral School: Ecological, Veterinary, Agronomic, and Bioengineering Sciences
- The Doctoral School of Universe, Environment, and Space Sciences: specialty "Hydrology, Hydrochemistry, Soil, and Environment"
